Anybody else here watch 'First Week In' (Discovery Channel)? About a convicted first week locked up. Looks like one of the few docu-reality shows that's pretty real.

Last nights episode featured a guy named Stephen Paige from Muskogee, being locked up somewhere in Tulsa. He was locked up for the first time for a string of burglaries. He appeared pretty scared straight.

Certainly a good program for the kids to watch as a little warning.

Oh GAWD the Smell!

First week - scared straight

Second week - In training to better burgle next time

and a few other skills he can use when he gets out.

I actually know quit a few people that had early in life run-ins with the law and all it took was one short stay in jail to put them on the right path for life.

Yeah, but that short stay can prohibit them from getting decent employment.

Just ask my brother-in-law.

I hear ya. I'm all for, after a period of time, convictions for non-violent crimes being taken off someone's record. Go a decade with no more issues - all for expungement.
