Texas and Oklahoma dominated this list. Interesting is that I don't see Ardmore mentioned that much and that I've never heard of Pryor being referred to as Pryor Creek.

I've been to Ardmore before. It's not real run down like some Oklahoma towns. Many of the facades downtown are covered up with metal. It made me wonder if something more attractive and less cheap looking from earliest times was underneath.

Pryor, or Pryor Creek, isn't even half as big as Ardmore, so I know I wouldn't want to live there.

The thing that I don't like about most of these places is that they are far away from the larger cities except for a couple like Memphis. I'd rather pay a little more to live closer to an urban area where there is lots to do. I'd like to see a list of the least expensive suburban towns and cities of large metro areas.
