Which do you prefer and why?

Glasses. My eyes are so dry I can not wear contacts. No lasik because I am afraid of things touching my eye.

Anderson, as for Lasik, you needn't worry about things "touching [your] eye". The surgery uses lasers.

The laser still touches the eye.

I've been wearing glasses since I was 11 years old, and I am simply used to seeing my face with glasses. I think I look wierd without them, they've pretty much become a part of my identity. So, I've never even thought seriously about getting contacts.

I'll do Lasik one of these days. For now, contacts.

Lasik is out for me - eyeballs apparently the wrong shape, or something. And given my face, I need all the help I can get, so gimme frames.

I'm with Underling on this one. I started wearing glasses when I was 21 years old...that was 22 years ago. Glasses are also a part of my identity, so I could not ever see myself wearing contacts.

Doesn't this thread already exist somewhere? Before I went on an OKC Talk vacation I remember posting something in a simillar thread.

Lemme search for it.

Eyesight status and what you prefer are completely different. For example my future mother-in-law would prefer Lasik, but she can't afford it, thus she wears glasses.

Well in a few years the price of lasik will come down, just as computers did.
