Beat me to it. Excited that the Thunder tip off on opening night and on Christmas Day 2 years in a row now.

This is Great news for Okc and In my opinion this is the best scenario for media exposure of the day.

ESPN promotes like no other and this is their prime time 7pm, first NBA game of the season.

If the weather is good expect ESPN to show great video shots of downtown, myriad gardens, bricktown, new I-40, Devon, and of course CHK arena.

Thanks for just now telling us where you posted it. LOL that's odd saying "I posted this on Tuesday" and you act like we're suppose to know to go over to the Thunder fans forum and look for your post. LOL

EDIT: He really did post about it on Tuesday (11-29) and it was the Orlando Sentinel (or another Orlando media outlet) that had reported it first. Atleast he does his research before posting. LOL

Let's get in a hissy fit over nothing. If you wanted coverage or a standing ovation for breaking the story, you should have called NewsOK and have them run your announcement.

You said the Orlando media reported it in the name of your thread, make up your mind if they did before you or not. You don't have to get so insulted just because I quoted what you said...you need a little more practice at this.

He definately lightens the situation when he comments, even though his comments come off as rude and arrogant they make me laugh more than they irritate me. LOL

Who cares who reported it first. An NBA official announces the schedule to a large group of people and there is an argument about who ran to their computer first to report it. Its silly.

This is one of the silliest "I knew it first" things I've ever heard on here. Who cares. Lets just be happy about having something else special on TV on Christmas day in addition to our normal celebrations.

What ljbab says, goes. You might as well be a mod with the pace you have on here. LOL

Yes, I've been trying to find that online since then with no luck. I'm sure it will show up. It ended with the spotlight shining down on the Chesapeake Arena.

You're expecting a "city" blog to keep you updated on sports? Check a sports blog. I almost never post in the sports section here, because there's better conversation elsewhere. I check here for city news only.

I love how Okc gets the final aerial shot.

I said this before, but Okc should hire Nike's marketing services for the City promotional purposes. Nobody can make Okc look cooler and more enticing than Nike can.
