OKC already has some cool displays but with all the new construction and various projects around town, this year should see some significant changes and improvements, such as:

Myriad Gardens in it's new form. The skating rink, Crystal Bridge, other LED lighting plus the park being fully decorated for the first time with all the changes.

Devon Tower. Not complete but perhaps they'll fire up some of the LED lighting for the holidays? Or do some other sort of display?

OKC Arena. Use video board for holiday displays and maybe change the color on top of the arena?

Project 180. New/improved features in the completed sections?

Chesapeake Campus. They always go all-out but this year they will no doubt include the Triangle / Whole Foods properties and probably will do more with NH Plaza and maybe Classen Curve. They already have their half-dozen construction cranes all lit up.

Add to that the Bricktown Canal, River Parade, Sandridge Tree, and the amazing scene in Automobile Alley which also should be expanded. Maybe Midtown is ready to step up their game as well? And with the recent plantings at Sandridge they might try and decorate their plaza a bit too.

Really looking forward to seeing all this! And of course, next year will be even bigger with Devon being complete and dozens of other projects progressing/finishing.

I noticed last night that CHK has the 4 tower cranes lit with LED's, along with the smaller ones like they had last year.

I heard that Midwest City started their lights a week or two ago. Very cool stuff. I have not been Downtown in a week. I would assume the skating rink
is going up at the Civic Center too?

Thunder, you should keep the truck and get a replacement tire, even if you buy new. Selling your truck because you can't find a used tire makes no more sense than selling it because you need an oil change and the right filter is no longer at sale price. On the bright side, unless you've been hiring cabs, you probably have saved enough gas and fast food trip dollars to pay a chunk of a new tire

Noticed this the other night as well, it looks pretty cool driving up the broadway extension.

Don't forget about Christmas in the Park in Yukon. I think it's already open too.

Chesapeake had their lighting ceremony today and all their lights are on.

In the upper left corner of the photo below, you can see they've put more lights in Nichols Hills Plaza. When they fully develop all their campus properties, this display is going to be absolutely massive.

Great thread, I will use this as a map/nav for my next night time outing.

I remember "Ski Island" was the place to ride around and look at lights. Last year I drove through and it seems not as many particpate any more.

According to Chesapeake, they've installed 4.3 million lights running 271 miles in length. Do the math - it's believable.

The trees around the new OU Children's Hospital is completely lit up. I've been visiting a friend at the hospital the past week or so and saw the workers putting up the lights. Saturday night, when I went to the ER, I saw them all turned on and just totally awesome. More lights than the Myriad Gardens. I haven't stop by St. Anthony's yet. I seen a glimpse of Automobile Alley from a distance.

Here is pix of mom's house. She was strongly stubborn to not have much lights....even no lights on the gutter...so, sadly this is all I could do.

Lets see what we have here...

These could have been better if I picked the Fireworks scene.

Some of the displays at MWC. They changed things around totally. WARNING!!! Be extremely cautious when traveling through the park. There are many low-flying planes constantly overhead. One nearly took the treetops.

Its funny how they go through all that effort to put lights on all those trees and cranes, but put up no lights on their buildings.

I guess the intention is to make it look like your driving through Pandora with all the colorful trees.

Makes complete sense to leave lights off of builfings during construction, could slow down progress.

My wife and I drove down Broadway last night and it seems to me (with a couple of exceptions) that there are fewer Broadway lights this year. The exceptions: (1) Wayne Coyne's place; (2) auto dealers north of 10th or 11th (Jaguar, etc). Am I mistaken about there being fewer Broadway lights, but for these exceptions?

Its everywhere. There are fewer decorations and lights all around. I don't know why. And I don't know how the stores sell out all of their stock. I can see the serious decline in neighborhoods having less lights each year.

Looks great, Pete! Mr. Fritter isn't one to get outside and get all Clark Griswold on us, so it's left up to me generally. After decking the halls, and the mantle, and the office, and the dining room table, and every open surface in the house, then putting up and decorating several trees, I just didn't have it in me to do any lights outside, so I stuck with a happy Santa banner, and my vintage lit plastic Santa from the 1970s. Simple, but jolly.
