Anyone know of any agencies who would be in need of volunteers to serve others for Thanksgiving?

We used to volunteer to serve food at Thanksgiving, but then stopped. It seemed that's when everyone wants to volunteer art some dinner service. We instead went a little less traditional and put in extra hours at the Food Bank and if the weather isn't bad, Habitat for Humanity. The Food Bank is a great place to volunteer, we try to do it regularly. I like Habitat too but it wipes me out the whole rest of the weekend if you do a full day and its involves roofing, framing or sodding.

Does someone do a big Thanksgiving dinner at the Myriad, or is that only at Christmas?

Christmas.

There's a group in Norman that are having a Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Norman and are asking for donations and/or volunteers. 360-4954. The participating agencies are Food and Shelter for Friends, City of Norman, Salvation Army, United Way, and the Community Action Committee.
