OSU had the overall best performance I've seen in a long time. If you switch the 2 drives that OSU turned the ball over into touchowns OSU would've won 80-0 and if you turn the field goal into a touchdown and failed 4th down conversion inside the 10 then it would've been 91-0... Hard to imagine things could've turned out even better for OSU if you take away 3 negative plays and make 1 good play a great play. Lol

Not complaining, I'm just sayin. Lol

Boise's kicker has had 4 FG attempts this year?

You know, when you're winning by 20, it's probably better to kick a FG to give your kicker experience. No body is really impressed when you beat Fresno State or Colorado State by 50, and your kicker could use the real game experience.

Edit: Also, this reminds me of the Ok. State vs. Boise State thread from a while ago. I think this should probably put it to rest.

What's even better is that TCU won by going for two on their last minute touchdown instead of kicking for a tie. Remember the OU - Boise Fiesta Bowl? What goes around comes around. LOL

Two big road wins for the Big 12 today. TCU and West Virginia.

Boise misses a kick again at the end of the game to lose just like at Nevada last season....different kicker though.

^^That BSU kicker last year got death threats for that!!That's insane!

If Oregon wins tonight then it's destine for OU to go to the NC. It's OU and Boise State's duty to lose atleast one game a year.

So much for that indestructable LSU team, they're tied with Western Kentucky 7-7 with about 6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. I still expect LSU to win and most likely blow WKU out in the 2nd half.

Oregon might just remove Stanford from the undefeated column after tonight. They have Stanford on their heels, 22-9

Barring a big Stanford comeback, Oregon is handing them their heads up 36 - 16 midway through the 3rd quarter. It looks like the computers had a good read on Stanford after all.

Bye Stanford.

Oregon will probably jump Oklahoma however.

You're probably right but an OU win over OSU could trump that eventually. OSU controls their own fate. OU still has to worry about a possible LSU - Alabama rematch.

I have a strong urge to correct V.

OU is actually #6 and Oregon is #7 as of right now.

Of course, the cheating ducks will jump above OU tomorrow. This is fraud. OU has been given too many off weeks, so this really screw with OU's ranking. This was intentional by NCAA. If OU was to play today, then OU would most likey stay above Oregon. I don't see how OU will manage to get into the title game unless USC terminates Oregon.

As I said, Thunder, an OU win over OSU would quite likely push them ahead of Oregon. The computers already like OU and their nonconference wins are looking better all of the time. Florida State and Tulsa are 7 - 3 and Ball State is 6 - 4.

Too many off weeks? They all play 12 regular season games. If OU didn't have a bye week this week, it'd be another week.

And yeah, if Oklahoma beat OSU, they'd jump Oregon easily. It's not Oregon they have to worry about, it's Alabama.

Also, the NCAA doesn't make schedules. The conference makes the conference schedules, and the teams make the non-conference schedule. Your argument has no basis in reality.

No, OU has just as many weeks off as any other team in America. Oregon has better quality losses and quality wins than OU has, the NCAA did not set this up. I know you're on death terms with the NCAA as of right now but be realistic. Oregon deserves the ranking it will get and honestly OU was gift wrapped a very generous present by the BCS as they only fell to #9 after one of, if not their ugliest loss in recent memory.

And for the record, venture said that Oregon will probably jump Oklahoma meaning Oklahoma is currently ranked higher than Oregon. Mistakes happen though.

given today's win, i think oregon will jump ou. if ou wins out (that's a big "if") by beating an undefeated osu, they may end up being bcs #2... -M

Though I don't believe it makes any difference OU did have an second bye week this year instead of just one. They started a week earlier than most, had a bye on week two, and a second bye week this week. Doesn't matter though, you win games or not. The loss and some other questionable performances is why we're #6 instead of #1.

The reason for the second bye week this season was no Big 12 Championship game. In years past they only had one because of that, instead of being off the last week of the season (like the Big 10 traditionally did) they chose to move the OU-OSU game to that weekend. That is for two reasons mainly, to maintain some focus on the conference in the final week since there is no CCG and to reduce the off-time between the last game and the bowl game which should be a New Years Day game or later for both teams.
