What are the chances the Devon Tower received some amount of damage related to the past couple of earthquakes???

I'd think none significant.

They discovered some cracks and one beam got a serious split. Its being fixed right now.

I'll believe it when we see it on the news.

Yeah, I highly doubt a "beam got a serious split". I think Thunder forgot about building codes. . . Correct me if there's a source. . .

The only cracks that occurred due to this earthquake anywhere in the state occurred in sidewalks and porches where the cement used was of the poorest quality and was not settled correctly. I would be amazed and scared out of my mind if the structural concrete members of the Devon tower registered any kind of stress due to these little quakes. Our buildings may not be designed around earthquakes, but our codes ensure that they are sturdy enough to handle anything that OK can throw at them.

You're full of crap, Thunder.

Oklahoma is actually in a moderate seismic zone. Everything built recently is designed for earthquakes, ESPECIALLY things like the Devon Tower.

Shouldn't Thunder's post be deleted unless he offers some kind of evidence? It seems pretty unlikely.

I'll make an inquiry tomorrow. But I've got my doubts about Thunder's post.

Shouldn't Thunder be sedated until he receives some kind of treatment? He seems pretty crazy.
Fixed it for you ;)

It was obvious the original post was crazy. I responded to the craziness.

Although a reporter screamed OMG at sight of Devon Tower swaying. Now that was classic!

Some folks are odd. Yeah, that was hilarious Thunder. We were all going nuts laughing at your obviously humorous take on the earthquake.
(Am I missing something here?)

I'm on some meds, so maybe? Did you see the first of several Christmas Earthquake songs I converted? :-D

Hi, Steve!!!

I worked on the Integris Cancer Institute in NW OKC. I can tell you that it was built per the building code to withstand moderate earthquakes as are all new hospitals in our region. There is also vibration isolation required for mechanical equipment and additional bracing/support for overhead duct, conduit, piping, etc. I don't know if the Devon Tower is required to do the same.

Someone else was trying to get him banned a few months back. Was that you too? I don't remember.

I don't think Thunder needs to be banned, but he's had a few posts here and there that probably merit deletion.

I wonder what the experience of the Devon Tower crane operators was like?

I don't know for sure, but my guess is that in this stage of construction they don't a crane operator that late at night.
