KAUT moved in with KFOR a few years ago and the old KAUT property was sold. New property owners didnt want the tower so it was brought down.

What a waste. I need a couple hundred feet of tower for a wind turbine...

How much did it cost to build that tower?

Built 30-34 years ago so no idea on the cost. Scrap iron is almost worthless, the only valuable part is the waveguide that goes all the way up. Its all aluminum

What a waste. They should have converted it to a commercial BASE jump platform. I know DFW and Houston jumpers would flock up there to BASE legally.

Neat video. I assume it wasn't safe to keep using it for something else due to age? Those towers are $$ for whoever owns them.
