When this school year ends it will be the first time since '91 one of ours is not enrolled in our local district. Tonight marks the final baccalaureate for my clan, and our youngest will graduate come Friday (though school of course continues to meet. This is Norman after all.)

I suppose my days of trying to claim I'm still young, at least with anything resembling a straight face, ends this week. Oh well, our elder children and spouses are coming in for the graduation of their youngest sibling, and of course our lovely grandchildren will be along as well.

I may not be young anymore, but I readily admit, the price is well worth it.

Ah Kevin, nice post. And congratulations, oh wise elder.

We're just over 48 hours beyond my youngest graduating high school. He walks into the living room tonight with an envelope and wishes me an early happy Father's Day. His volunteer work in June will have him out of town most of next month so he wanted to do this tonight.

I open the envelope to find ticket confirmations for a Father's Day weekend show by one of my favorite musical groups.

Yea, I'm pretty stoked.

That is so sweet. I am sitting here smiling.
