I turned it over to the game and watched the second half after the Red Sox-Yankees game.
Sorry, I won't do that again, they always seem to go into a funk when I turn the game on.

Did anyone else have trouble buying tickets this morning when they went on sale? I was on there at 10:00 and they were already sold out apparently.

A young friend, who has one of his out of town buds in for a visit, was telling me a bit ago they were trying for tickets this morning too, also without success. They are both rather bummed as Riverwind was rather kind to them last night. Seems they were going to use part of the winnings to cover the ticket costs and an all around fun day tomorrow.

I think KOCO will have the Live Wire up during the game. I will text Ryan to see if he will broadcast the game.

I think KOCO will have the Live Wire up during the game. I will text Ryan to see if he will broadcast the game.

He can't do that. NBA would sue KOCO especially if it isn't even ABC covering the game. There's long media contracts that have to be followed.

He just told me that NBA don't allow games broadcast online. But we can check justintv or ustream, where people point their camera at their tv.

I think reason they don't allow web broadcasts is because advertisements are more effective when groups of people gather in front of their TV's.

Personally, I think having played the rugged Grizzlies in a slugfest of a series is an advantage for the Thunder vs the Mavs. Grizzlies were a worthy foe and the Thunder are now battle-hardened.

Good point. They also noted on the Sports Animal that since 1964, teams that have had an 8 day layoff in the playoffs have then gone 9-9 in their next series...

ESPN quoted 9-12 number for those who swept vs those coming out of 7 game series. I expect most of those are 1 seeds sweeping 8 seeds then playing then next series with home court advantage, which has one of the higher statistical correlations in the playoffs.

Dear Coachie: Please keep Mr. Collison in the game.

Thank you.

I didn't realize the game was today. Hope we won. Looking at KOCO, said the game start at 4pm, so the game must be over by now. No posted result... Checking NBA...

Scores showing on NBA.com ... OKC 13 DAL 14

Something must be wrong here...

well,The Thunder were up 9 then The Mavs went on a 18-1 run into halftime and now have all the momentum!

Thunder

They need to stop throwing the 3s and let us do all the shots.

Btw, anyone agree how NBA got it all twisted on the shirts? We're suppose to be wearing blue at home, white at away.

Dustin
05-17-2011, 08:26 PM
Durant needs more shots. Westbrooks being a BALL HOG. If your gonna hang on to the ball, get to the fu-reakin' basket.

White is home, Blue is away.

That is so wrong. Look at OU football. They do it right.

And the Dallas fans... So disrespectful to wear Thunder blue... I don't even know where the Thunder fans are.

Thunder

I remember why I don't watch basketball. FOULS! Way too many stupid fouls that shouldn't even be considered fouls. Refs keep stopping the game for foul pleasures. Fouls everywhere! NBA sure did create stupid reasons for fouls.

dmoor82
05-17-2011, 09:01 PM
Mother F***** every damn time Dirk touches the ball a foul is called, and OKC is shooting cold and Thunder are getting smoked!

jn1780
05-17-2011, 09:06 PM

That's just NBA tradition to wear white at home. At home, they can wear whatever color they want they just always choose white or wear their throwback(old style) jerseys.

And the Dallas fans... So disrespectful to wear Thunder blue... I don't even know where the Thunder fans are.
And when Dallas is in OKC, its not disrespectful for OKC fans to wear blue? Dallas had their blue colors first. Only so many colors to choose from.

Thunder

I am convinced that Nowitzki paid the refs to rig the fouls.

Either that, or it is quite obvious the refs are Dallas fans.

Long way to go yet in the series but at this point nothing can happen to ruin this season not even a sweep...Been an unbelievable ride

Thunder
05-17-2011, 09:44 PM
Turned off the game. We'll get honest refs here in OKC, so don't worry.

Thunder
05-17-2011, 09:57 PM
I want everyone to remember this, Thunder played really great. Look at the scores, we would have obviously won the game if the cheating (and secretly paid) refs did not constantly award Mavs free foul shots. Enough said. Everyone knows this worldwide. Thunder really did rise and they will keep on doing so.

Thunder, It's just another road game in the NBA. If you've been to our games downtown, you've seen calls go our way all season. Opposing teams think Durant gets all the calls at home. Guess what? He does!! It wasn't a poorly called game for a playoff game in Dallas. We lost because we had no answer for Dirk. Period.

I agree with Easy, no matter what happens from here out - even a Mavs sweep (though I hope not) - this has been a hell of a season. This is the BIG TIME.

True.

Wait, just realized the format.

Two games there, two games here, one game there, one game here.

We could be going to 7 games and have the last one at home to advance us.

Incorrect, Thunder. If it goes to 7 games, the last game would be in Dallas.

That does not make sense. I have always seen it go like...

2 games Location A
2 games Location B
1 game Location A
1 Game Location B

In that order. They can't just change it around to fit them!!!!!!

Your missing game 7 which is played at location A. The team with home court advantage always has last game. Home court advantage is awarded to the team with the better record.

First 3 playoff rounds: 2-2-1-1-1
NBA Championship game: 2-3-2

Thunder, just stop and think a minute about the series that OKC had with Memphis. OKC had the home court advantage with Memphis just as Dallas has now against OKC. The OKC and Memphis series went to seven games. Where was the seventh game played? OKC maybe? The team with them home court advantage will always get the seventh game if it goes that far.

OK, so Nowitzki had a career night and the Thunder didn't play their best, yet the Thunder weren't blown out. I still have hope it will be competitive.
