I made the mistake of picking up a can of cashews last time I was in Braums. Those things are twice as good as any others I've bought. (2X the price may have something to do with it tho  )

Cheetos (original crunchy) are very good.

Club crackers with very thin slices of "Wisconsin's Best" Extra-Sharp Cheddar (actually made in California) are just about as good. (If you have some of that cheap "deli-sliced" ham--or $1000 an ounce Italian ham--on hand and some capers to add to them . . . Well . . . that's okay too. Especially with some jullienned "Zesty Pickles" from that "off brand" pickle company)

The best snack is probably a schmeer of cream cheese topped with some smoked salmon on a cracker or whatnot.

Currently my snakes of choice are..... Dehydrated whole okra from Wholefoods, a slice of the $9 German Chocolate Cake they sell at the WalMart bakery, Twizzler brand black licorice Nibs (small, soft and chewy pieces), just about any type of fresh fruit.

Twizzler red licorice for me! Also smoked almonds, pistachios and fresh cherries and red grapes!

Ha - for clarification I prefer 'snacks' over 'snakes'.

I was sort of wondering about that myself . . .
What with the "dehydrated whole okra" and all . . . =)

Here is a great snack:
Take a Breton Wafer (Cracker) (or little slice of a baguette, toasted in the oven, with some olive oil)
Put some cream cheese on it.
Put a little smoked salmon on it.
Put some ultra-finely diced red bell peppers and green onion on it.
Put a tiny piece of lemon on it.
Put a few capers on it.

These are really, really good.

Anything topped with "Olive Salad" (Tapanade) is also excellent.
Especially if the Olive Salad is topped with a tiny slice of proscutto and a little fresh Parmesan then nuked for about ten seconds.

Are Canapés technically snacks?
I know they aren't snakes . . .

If they aren't snacks, then Screaming Yellow Zonkers aren't a bad choice . . .
