I just built a digital antenna. Where can I find what's one TV
besides by surfing (ick)? Is there a TV site or something?

You won't want to miss your President's speech tonight. On most channels, I'm sure.

Prune - try www.tvguide.com (http://www.tvguide.com)

If you setup an account you customize the TV schedule. If you have android or iPhone you can also install the TVGuide app and link it back to the web site.

I'll look at that. Thanx. I wonder what other people use.

I have directv so I mostly use the standard 2 week program guide. I don't watch a lot of TV and the few things I do watch are either sports or come on at the same time every week. I also have the Directv app on my phone so if I am out and forget to record something I can just go to the app and start recording.

Doesn't whatever company you're paying for the reception provide some kind of guide?

We got rid of cable about a year ago and been doing great without it.
I built the antenna yesterday because I've been wanting local news.
While the Internet covers most of it I just like to see it on TV. Now if
I can come up with a TV version of Ad Block Plus!

I should have suggested this earlier, I just didn't think about until now.

You can always run Windows Media Center through your TV. Attach a wirelss keyboard and mouse and have at it. Windown Media Center will even allow you to record live tv to your computer. Windows Media Center is included in Windows 7/Vista/XP.

Here is how to do it.

You can forego the wireless keyboard and mouse and get a WMC remote on Amazon for $20 or less. You can also get a USB TV tunner on the cheap as well ($50). Now that I am thinking about it I have laptop sitting in the closet that has a burned out CFL bulb in the monitor (rendering the screen useless). I think I will hook it up to the TV in the guest bedroom and run WMC on it.

Wow! I'm definitely going to try that. We've been using Netflix for
entertainment through our Wii.

I found out that I can watch TV using the wii. Downloaded the
Internet Channel and am getting ready to watch Food TV shows.

This is soooo cool!

Thanx.

WMC has about 25 to 30 free channels

I tried watching regular programming and almost threw up. I was going
to see Louise Fletcher, nurse Ratched on Cuckcoo Nest, on Private
Practice but the opening scene was so repulsive I had to turn it off.
From now on it's the local News and Netflix.

What happened? Did Louise Fletcher and nurse Ratched french kiss?
