View Full Version : Is Ed Shadid's Website being DDoSed?

I attempted to go to his website for the first time today, after receiving yet another bit of juvenile propaganda from the Committee of Millionaires, CEOs and Outsider Interests. It doesn't tell me the website is down, it doesn't tell me that it's offline - it simply hangs, in the way that sites do when they are being flooded with ping requests by hackers - or those who wish to silence someone else's ability to speak via the Internet.

Is there anyone here working for his campaign who can confirm or deny that the website is up and running? If so, then someone really needs to do something about what appears - on the surface, at least - to be a criminal act against his campaign.

Gee, why would someone want to silence him? *rubs chin, raises eyebrow*

Ah, it pulls up for me now. It spun forever this morning, though, and wouldn't pull up.

Thanks!

Okay...let's not let this descend into silly conspiracy theories like hackers going after a city council candidate's website.

FWIW, both open for me faster than most sites I visit

Swinton's campaign is far too clumsy to execute a major hacking of Shadid's website. Still, I'm laughing thinking about how much oxygen is being consumed by a city council race. I think it's great for OKC! And by the way, Vote Ed Shadid!

It's Swinton's website that has never worked for me. I've wanted to get a hold of Swinton before, but I see absolutely no way or how to do so. Weird.
