The Tulsa area is getting two new organic grocery stores.
In Jenks as part of The Village on Main project a chain called Green Acres Market out of Kansas City is building a new location. The Village on Main is under construction now.
A second new store is going in as part of a new center going in just south of Tulsa Hills. The brand of the store has not been announced yet but the center will be called The Walk at Tulsa Hills and will include the grocery store, a Planet Fitness gym and a 12 screen all digital Carmichael movie theater.
In what is likely good news for Oklahoma City, the chain going in at Tulsa Hills says they plan other stores in the area.
The key anchors of the center would be a 12-screen Carmike theater, as well as a large, upscale organic grocery. Although Moore said he’s not yet ready to identify the grocer, he said it would be from a growing, regional chain that doesn’t yet have locations in Tulsa but intends to open other stores in the area.
