I remember some of these while some were before my time.
Does anyone remember that Juicy Fruit wrapper? I think it's the
original, which means way before any of us.

Loved the old packages. A couple of thoughts.

1. When I started shaving (1970 or so) I used Gillette Blue Blades. Do you remember that medicine cabinets used to have a slot for razor disposal? Do you remember medicine cabinets?

2. Have you tried lately to open a pack of razor blades without resorting to knives, scissors or other sharp implements?

Too much fun!

1. We called them the Gillette Self-Sacrifice razors. I used
one until recently.

2. Have you ever seen what behind the cabinet looks like
after the wall is torn out?

How about opening a new record album. Just slit the cellophane gingerly where the lp could be removed. Then tape the cellophane down tight. This was supposed to protect the album cover. I don't remember it being a benefit.

I always removed the cellophane. A Sound Warehouse employee told me that, in an average home, room temperature would cause the shrink wrap to slowly continue shrinking, thus warping the record.

Interesting stuff. I wonder where they find all those packages? Who saves those sorts of everyday things?

Supposedly, it would keep the cover in good condition longer. Not doubting your word. There were all kinds of "tales" to be told at that time. I even remember purchasing lp's at Humpty Dumpty's

I hate blister packaging it is a monstrous hassle. The packaing for DVD's and CD's is also a pain in the keister. I do understand it is an anti-shoplifting deterent but when I buy from Amazon WTH???

I bought the plastic album covers for all of my records. Also,
they would only be played once in a 24 hour period then get
cleaned before being put away. Many of my LP's are almost as
good as the day they were purchased.
