This is awesome and needs to go on permanent display somewhere if it isn't already. I wish I had know this was in OKC when we were there. It is kind of inspiring.

I don't know why no one has replied to this, but it was on display from Mid November at Penn Square Mall. Thunder took a bunch of pics and posted them on here in another thread...

I was about to make a special trip to Penn Sqaure to see this.... Then I found out it cost $5 a head to get in. Sorry, I am not paying $5 to stare at Legos.

Thanks Thunder. I found them in another thread after OKCisOK4ME said they had been posted. My kids have been looking at them for days.

On a related note, Lego has come out with an architeture line of lego sets. We just bought the Sears Tower pack.

Here's the deal:
CityScape will only be on PUBLIC display during the Christmas holidays each year with new items added each time. But...
They will be housed on Film Row along with the CityScape offices the rest of the year. And groups wanting to pay to have special events there, I hear, will be allowed to do so. Remember, the proceeds go to Educare, which is really a great cause.

Has anyone seen the Lego CityScape at NW 10 and Broadway yet? How is parking? What is the exhibit like?

We saw it when driving around the other day, but didn't stop since we didn't have the kids. It definitely jumps out at you. Parking would not have been an issue.

Has anyone gone yet? Does anyone have a point of contact for this place? Hours of operation, etc? I have folks who are inquiring about it, and I don't know what to tell them other than its location.

Parking is easier than it was last year at Penn Square, the exhibit is better than last year.

I went to Penn Square to see the exhibit last year and had to drive around the mall parking lot for 10-15 minutes, no exaggeration. This year I parked across the street and went inside. The exhibit is better in that it added interactive displays (the Myriad Gardens and river boats).

10th and Broadway huh? and easy parking huh? I seem to remember making that statement on the Broadway thread....

I think, however, the reason it's easy to park is because there aren't that many places for people to go. Were AA to fill up with restaurants and retail, parking would be an issue. I think angle parking is a good idea, especially if we end up with a streetcar line on Broadway.

OK Cityscape builds on success with tie to holiday festivities
Organizers of OK Cityscape, which raises money for Educare in south Oklahoma City, say their move to downtown in 2010 was a success and they plan to return downtown for their 2011 model of the city made with Lego bricks.

OK Cityscape, the Lego creation of Oklahoma City, saw a 30 percent jump in attendance at its new downtown home last month — enough to ensure its return later this year.

I visited Lego Cityscape for the first time this year and was very impressed. Never got around to stopping, the other years at Penn Square, usually was in a hurry at the mall but with the new location I was able to stop in and enjoy the time spent there. I hope to make this a yearly destination for Downtown in December.

One suggestion would be for Lego Cityscape to offer a retail section to purchase Lego sets. If they could ask Lego to set up a small retail area and a portion of the profits could also go to Educare.

Anyone can sell Lego sets but if you want Lego to do something special they would probably have to do it through their store at Penn Sq.

Will Okc Lego CityScape be opening again this year?

If so, when does it return and will it be located in the same building as last year?
