Anyone notice lately last year and now this year how the Sooners seem to just go on a rapid downhill slide after halftime? They put their definite win at risk when Texas greatly caught up. Other games as well.

So... Is the coaching staff overworking them to near death during practices? What are the other possible explanation for them to tire out so quickly and easily?

It's not the players, it's the play calling. Wilson seems to let up when OU gets the lead. Our offense had Texas on their heels the entire first half. Then in the second half, he takes his foot off the gas.

Definite problems in the 4th but they still find a way to win...4 out of 5 wins go down to the wire...much better than watching 63-7 games IMO

As Bob Stoops said, we're back to being Oklahoma now with people critcizing how we win instead of how we lose.

The hurry up offense is the problem. It allows OU to get a quick lead while the opposing defense tries to adjust. However, once they get the adjustments made then all the OU hurry-up offense is good for is quick three and outs. That in turns makes the defense tired by the 4th quarter and they have to hang on to win.
