This woman, Katie, has a blog post about the Mama Veca's in OKC and she posted some yummy looking photos of the food there. http://www.dishinanddishes.com/2010/08/10/mama-vecas-peruvian-mexican-cuisine/

Ate there on Friday night, had a Peruvian raw fish dish that was amazing. Will definitely be going back.

Strange, I heard it wasn't that good. If you'd like a latin-american dish I would recommend Zarate's off of Broadway near 9th.

:iagree: Been to Zarate's many times and haven't ever had anything bad, haven't eaten their Mexican dishes, though, always stick to non-Mex food. Will have to try Mama Veca's, though, as well as Inca Trail (May/Hefner), at the very least for comparison purposes...

Surely Mama Veca's. Zarates seems to always be really busy.

The boss lady and I went to Veca's for lunch one day for Peruvian food and to our surprise the Peruvian menu is only available during certain hours so we had to order Mexican instead. Needless to say we never came again.

What is it that happened to Pablano Grill that was there before Mama Veca's? They were always packed to the gills, then when it changed over the crowds really decreased.

Anyone know what is going in there next? They have started remodeling the outside facade in the last couple of weeks.
