Other than Myriad Garden, Martin Nature Park and Bricktown area......where is someplace colorful and accessible for me to take some pics of my family?

Anyone have a good idea??

Thanks!

I see quite a few photographers using the entrance to the Kingswood addition on South Penn just south of 104th. There's a pond and a gazebo and kind of a park area.

See http://www.kingswoodokc.org/app2/images/photoalbum/4/IMG_2459.JPG

I like that park directly to the South of the UCO campus. Haven't been there is awhile (hope its still there), but it had some grassy areas, rocky areas and lots of trees.

Bbates....I think I know where you mean. Right on 2nd street....kind of a low lying area across from campus.

That's the place. I also scout north of the city and look for an old barn or farmhouse with a wooden fence. Makes for good "Oklahoma(ish)" photos. We need to create a public google map and mark our favorite spots for future reference.

My wife and I took some pictures for Christmas cards last year. An interesting place we chose was the median of Robinson in Heritage Hills between 16th and 21st street.

I try to avoid all photo shoots but how about Will Rogers Gardens off I44?

This is easy. Go to a nearest Walmart with photo studio available in front of store (Del City Walmart has one).

The Zoo, maybe some spots around Lake Hefner or Lake Overholser?

Is Cole's Garden still open to the public? I love the spaces there for photos.

The Cowboy Hall of Fame can provide some nice backgrounds for photos.

My wife is a photographer (http://www.pixeldustbyrachael.com) and has many happy customers from sessions at Will Rogers park.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if you have a good DSLR camera, it can make anything look good. Lake Hefner, Gaillardia, Landrun Monument near the Canal, National Memorial, Paseo, anywhere downtown for an urban look, could go on and on.

If you want Oklahoma schtick, try the Pops bottle and Round Barn in Arcadia. I see TONS of people taking pictures at both of these at all hours of day and night.
