Was looking around on Google Earth today. Found what looks to be either placing dirt in the river or taking dirt out (looks like going in more than the latter).

Anyone know what this is? Also lots of dirt flattened just north of the banks and what looks to be a newly paved road. What's going on there. I realize these photos are 4 months old, haven't had a chance to roll up that way lately so I don't know if anything new happened there or is happening.

Interesting find, but isn't that part called the North Canadian River. LOL. How old are the images?

I think a local, heavy-equipment school does training out in that area. They used to be next door to my work, but ended up moving.

There's a rather large apartment complex going up there.

No, it's not the apartment complex. That is not on the river and there is a separate thread discussing that already.

Sand mining, there is a large operation on the South Canadian at Norman, also.

That area of the river between meridian and macarthur is pretty decent for fishing...

I think it is cool how the plane headed in for landing was caught on film. It is to the right of the image.
