"Alligator seen in metro pond?

The following is a script from a News9 broadcast
A metro lady tells NEWS 9 there's a scary creature lurking in a pond near her home.


If the duck looks a bit nervous ... here's why ... Melissa Dalton says it is an alligator - Charlie the Gator.

Melissa says she videotaped Charlie last night.

We asked Warr Acres Police Officer John Gray and Animal Control to check the pond near a restaurant.

Officers found nothing.

Bob Lango lives on the other side of the pond.

He's seen swans, ducks, and kids in the pond ... but he's never seen Charlie.

Officers say if there is a gator in the pond, it was probably a pet someone got rid of when it grew too large to care for. "
