Chesapeake starts IPO

Chesapeake Midstream Partners LP announced Wednesday that it has embarked on an initial public offering of limited partner interests. The partnership, a joint venture between Chesapeake Energy Corp. and Global Infrastructure Partners, is offering more than 21 million units. Underwriters will have the option of buying more than 3.1 million additional shares. The units will be traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "CHKM."
