Parents, get back to the basics and get the kids out of the house and away from the TV and texting for a couple of hours and build something and bond with them this summer.

Both Lowe's and Home Depot offer kid themed projects designed for boys and girls from 5-12 years old. Let them work along side other kids and make a bird house, old fashioned wooden toy or stool.

Best of all its FREE!

Lowe's offers classes every Saturday (http://www.lowesbuildandgrow.com/) at 10am and Home Depot's are offered (http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ContentView?pn=Kids_Workshops&langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053&cm_mmc=THD_marketing-_-Clinics_site-_-Digitas-_-KidsClinics) the first Saturday of each month at 9am and noon.
