I heard a rumor that Swadley's has catfish on their menu. Any truth to that? If so, how is it?

They do have it on their menu, but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe this weekend I'll give it a shot.

Not really. Why go to a BBQ place for fish? Just like why would you go to Red Lobster to eat a salad?

Mickey's Country Kitchen still has some of the best fried catfish around, but on Friday nights only. Menu at Mickey's Country Kitchen (http://www.mickeyscountrykitchen.com)
628 N Main Street in Newcastle.

Thanks! I may give that a try if we are ever down there. Worth a trip from Edmond?

ding ding ding, we have a winner. in actuality, I haven't eaten at a red lobster in more than 10 years and have no desire to.

What did I win? Some croutons off of your salad?

I drive down from near Baptist Hospital almost every Friday night. Well worth the trip (19.8 miles). The homemade pies are great, too.

OK, now I have to go. BTW - are you a BBQ fan? If so, see the thread on BBQ Chop Shop. They are my new favorite all-around BBQ joint.

I have only been once and I was quite impressed. I wish their hours were not so limited--I usually eat out on Friday and Sunday nights.
