OK, this is my first attempt at it so cut me some slack. I just bought a FlipMinoHD to hopefully start capturing progress vids of downtown and other happenings in OKC. I just created a YouTube channel dedicated to this (DowntownOKCVids) and will hopefully update it fairly regularly as time allows. I will now attempt to post the videos in this thread. I hope you all enjoy!

OK ALL 10 VIDEOS SHOULD BE UPLOADED NOW They are shot in HD so if you have the capability, upgrade the viewing pixels option.

^^ In this part of The country, men are seen as pu**y's for driving vespas and scooters, but in large coastal cities nobody thinks twice about it,it's just logical!I see nothing wrong with it!

Seriously? You definitely aren't the urban type then. Scooters are preferred over a motorcycle in urban areas, especially back east or in Cali or in Europe, but they are quite popular here as well.

The posters ignorance was clearly showing to the urban lifestyle. I'll take it anyday over a camo F-150 with a Dale Earnhardt sticker.

Metro, don't let them get you down, the scooter is an fun way to save fuel. I've got one too, Not a Vespa either. It says Electra Glide on it. Here's to the brotherhood of 2 two wheeled transportation!

Being urban and thinking that scooters are for wack are not mutually exclusive.

Turn the HD settings up on the pixel size icon in the YT window if your monitor will support it, even if you don't have a full HD monitor you'll get a sharper picture. I honestly think a big announcement of mixed-use development is coming. Especially if you look at all the sidewalks and other work they've been doing in the area, along with the announcement of WF and us knowing they have bigger plans. Watch the vids and see for yourself if you don't see the possibility looming.

Thanks metro for posting! So nice to see the sign! Its signifies a great milestone for many years of anticipation.

You probably don't know the answer (or maybe this was answered elsewhere already), but when will we know what the building design will look like? I've seen some pretty unique architecture in other cities.

I don't think anyone has good info on the design/concept, but I speculate that we'll see something by September if not sooner. If they are moving this quick on a sign, I suspect Chesapeake will reveal more soon. Construction alone will take probably a year, so hopefully concept will be announced prior to construction.

I agree, Metro. Too many things point in that direction.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I would like to see administrative moderation stepped up. So the above post would look like this:

~Comment removed by admin~
- off topic - take it to 'politics'

I know some like the hands-off approach, but to me it makes this board seem out-of-control with too many popping in with one-sentence snarky, rude, off-topic comments.

Just my opinion.

Back to topic. (sorry)
