First annual "Capitol Hill Rockin' Reunion" to be held May 15 & 16, 2010 on Commerce Street in Capitol Hill. This is sponsored by the Capitol Hill Main Street Program and Cornerbooth Productions. The main purpose of the event is to reach out to all graduates of southside OKC high schools.... Capitol Hill, US Grant, Southeast, and Mount St. Mary's. The two-day event will include arts and crafts, car show, music from all generations, chili cook-off, guitar art contest, food, drink and much more!

If you guys are up to it let's represent ourselves at this thing and help them to make it a success......Prunepicker can bring the Motel A or whatever it is....78 could bring his Ford...Frisky and the Corvette,,,,Tall Girl in her Mustang and I'll wash the Van....or bring the BMW Convertible or the Ferrari I keep in the Garage....oh well I do have a bicycle....you know, one of those stationary ones and I saw an ad on television that medicare would buy me a new electric scooter.....(that wasn't nice) I'm sorry......But, let's get behind this reunion and help them promote the southside....TERIOKC said she would maybe come to that one.....I'm sure the Northsiders of the group would be excited to "Crash" a party on the southside and not have to worry about getting in trouble or messing up their Madras shirts or Wheat Jeans......

For those who remember Mr Capitol Hill 1965, Chebon Dacon , the Capitol hill gang 25 of us met at Mama Roja last night for dinner. Great place to eat. Chebon brought his paintings to display and sell at the Rockin Reunion, but rain put a end to that. Chebon is in town until Sunday, we are meeting again today. He will be back for the Rockin Reunion in June.

I heard them say they couldn't hold it while Prunepicker was out of town. June 26th may be new date.

80-90% chance of rain?? I didn't see a drop of rain here in Moore yesterday, not today either. Prunepicker and Sooner Girl 26 have a 2nd chance at the Rockin' Reunion though. Maybe by June it will be bigger and better with more time for the word to get out. Maybe Prune's car will be show ready.

I just found out where the cars in the Car Show will be. Right out in front of Grill on the Hill on Commerce. As of this evening, there were only 18 cars in the show. There will be more registering in the morning. It isn't too late to enter. 8:00 - 10:00 AM. Just plop down your $20.00 and get a good parking space, a T-Shirt and a goodie bag.

I hope to see everyone out there in spite of the Heat!!
