Someone has e-mailed me a scan of a postcard that he has, wondering if I could identify the area shown ... I don't know it ... click for larger.

It was done by H.H. Clarke who did several similar hand painted postcards of residential streets during that time including 3 in Mesta Park that I'm familiar with. I live in Mesta Park but I've not driven the streets to see if I can spot this one, but, offhand, it doesn't look familiar to me.

Anyone know the street and block this card represents?

Check around the N.W. 10th (east of Penn) area. They have made this street ( N.W. 10th) into a Boulevard but, the houses in that area look similar....

Or 18th just east of Classen. That was the first thing I thought also.

Those houses have basements, many trees, two fireplaces and short front yards. Looks similar to the governor's house on 17th(?).
