I liked this one just because of the trend for each of the buildings getting increasingly taller in large steps going from the Renaissance center to Devon, and just for the thought of how much taller the next one would be if that line continued.

Yea,I like that one too(East or West view) it kinda reminds me of that old AT&T commercial about more bars in more areas!

In case anyone has lost count, there are now 38 completed levels and 28 levels with glass.

That puts the height about 575 feet.

This is from a week ago. You sure it's 38 levels? This shows 35, so perhaps 36 now? It was 516 a short while ago.

When the pour concrete at the top with the pump do they haul the concrete to the pump with buckets or pump it up from below?

I'm assuming from what little construction experience I have that they pour from the truck into a hopper that pumps it through a high pressure pipe that goes to the floor that they are working on

You have been able to see it from this vantage point for awhile now. Once it passed the Oklahoma Tower you could see it. It does seem more prominent from this point though now that it it taller than Chase. On a clear day you can tell what part is glassed and which floors are not, will be a nice sight once complete. I live in the area and see it almost daily - it seems to creep up each day.

That 574' 8" figure is actually the exact height of the 36th-floor foundation. If they have gone beyond the 36th floor by now, then that figure is higher now. Every floor they add is approximately 19 feet and some inches gained (close to 20 feet). So, if they've poured the foundation for the 37th floor yet, that would put the building height around 593-594 feet....and if they've poured the 38th floor foundation by now, that would put it around 613 feet. So the current height just depends on which of those floor foundations is currently completed.

....so, if someone could just go downtown and count the floors for us (and remember to skip #13), we'll have the current approximate height...give or take a few inches.

I went down there the day before yesterday, March 29th and the 37th floor was completed. The 38th floor foundation was poured and the pillars were going in.

Beat me to it. I went down there after work and did a lot of video for this month. As usual, it's a mix of everything. Little historical, little Devon, a little India Temple. It's hard to focus on one thing. I zoomed in on the top floor and it's 37, with the 38th going up. I'm actually at Pizza Town waiting for an order. This place is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks.

WOW....they are moving faster than I realized!! My guess was they were working on, or just completing the 37th floor. They're actually working on the 39th floor which will put the floor height at around 632-633 feet when that foundation is finished. So, Devon will pass Cityplex in Tulsa with just the addition of the next (40th) floor...making it the new 2nd tallest in the state. Then just one building left in the state to conquer. Thanks, UnFrSaKn!! Excellent job on the pics and footage...keep it coming!!

Floors 1-6 are 20 feet floor to floor. Floors 7-48 or so are 14 feet 8 inches floor to floor, with the top 2 upper floors at 20 feet I believe. Do the math.
I thought those specs were the floor-to-ceiling specs, then the actual floors themselves were a few feet thick. At floor 32, they were supposedly at 496 ft. Then at floor 33 when the height of Devon surpassed the Chase bldg., they were at 516 ft. according to the news footage posted on youtube at that time. Then at floor 36, one source said 574 and another said 575 ft. So from all that, I figured an actual gain of 19 ft. and some inches (close to 20) for every floor added. But what would clear up all the confusion is a schematic diagram indicating the actual floor-by-floor footage. So if anyone has a web address for that, PLEASE post it.

Friday morning was exceptional clear in the morning when I left for work. I noticed something lit up that I had never seen before and it was the tower, I could barely make out the chase building. This was from my front porch on Indian Meridian in Choctaw! Now that I know I can see it I will try to post some pictures from here, provided I get a clear night. That made my day Friday.

Here's a what-if question for someone: What if two web cams were pointed at the tower, with both cameras several feet apart so you'd have two nearly-identical images on your computer screen side-by-side. Then you'd use one of those antique stereoscope viewers and look through it at your monitor to see the tower in 3D. I was just wonderin' . . .
