It is a simple thing...just remember that number--1,032. Think of it as black helicopters, raving lunacy, giggly stuff for teenage not-it-alls...just simply write it down on a piece of paper and keep it in a book somewhere. I mean--how hard is that?

Is that how many times you will tell us the tower will be taller than 850 feet? :poke:

Just sharing a moment I had with a OUIJA Board recently--nothing more. Do what you wish with it...soothing eyes with Refresh Lubricant Eye Drops... Time will tell...won't it.

Yes, I drive directly past it everyday, and it looks 10 x bigger in person, now you can start to realize the true scale of it, pics, model, etc...doesn't give you that, I hope we build another tower soon to compliment it, because we are going to need it!

Its probably been mentioned, (as I haven't read all 161 pages) but the thing that really freaks me out is thinking about that guy that climbs up the ladder to the control cab of that crane. Talk about being way out there, and up there. I don't know if I could do that. Especially when it is about 20 degrees with a 20 mph wind. And, what do you do when you need to take a restroom break because of all the hot coffee you are drinking to keep warm. Quite a trip for a restroom break. Just thinking.

I know about the bottle thingy. I was just making a point about how high that thing is. But on another thought...who would want to climb down with a few bottles full? Anyway, that crane is huge. And it will just keep getting higher and higher. It fascinates me really. The operator definitely has the best view. An office with a view.

Honestly to some extent I don't care for all the talk about changing wikipedia pages on here...just because we don't need people who are completely inexperienced as far as edits and so forth frequently going and making changes...

I do think if we have any users on here that are regular contributors though, it would be fine.

That's double the height of Burj Khalifa which is 2,717ft. It takes more and more pumping power to get the concrete up to those heights.

Well, at least we are bringing attention to the OKC page. It is important that someone thoroughly updates that page. I'm not sure why the Chamber wouldn't just have someone do it... Or maybe even Steve?

Great pictures... the height is nearly that of Chase!

Imagine, however, if the building was to stop at this height... it would still be a major addition to the skyline... but it would add to the "squaty" look that we've always had... I think it's great that it will be so much taller even if it does "look out of place" as some would suggest.

This is a view from the top of the boathouse row finish line tower taken several weeks ago...

The view from the new grandstand (facing this same direction) is going to be fantastic, especially once the utility lines are moved in the near future.

Still can't wait to see a dusk photo of all the bouthouses lit up in neon with our skyline behind.
