Now that is what I have been looking for! Also it is nice to see the electrical (lights) as that is a good sign! It is cool to see how all of the trades overlap and how quickly it can come together on a floor by floor basis!

Architect5311 do you have other picture, example from north or aerial view?

Hey Sam, I don't have anything with detail on the Devon site just Sketchup massing models.....

These are wonderful by the way. Thankyou for them.

When the Chase Tower (Liberty Bank Tower in early 1970 when construction started) the structure was composed of structural I-beam steel...I don't remember cores like the Devon Tower--you architects and construction experts need to help with this aspect. But, I remember a dark reddish (rusty) colored steel superstructure--though I am sure there were elevator shafts and other parts not visible by the casual passerby within...but I think the structure was steel for support primarily.

Yeah but atleast from the geometries and the image on his avatar it looks like it is another parking garage, but then again I hope that I am wrong or at least that it has street facing storefront retail or something to engage and add activity to the street, especially since it fronts the square.

The air ducts they started to install looks small. Will it be big like its shown in the movies where people can crawl thru them?

I doubt their priority on the air ducts is the crawlability.

when will they put a Saftey net on the tower?

There was an article recently about how they would start putting glass on the tower's first 3 floors starting in September, so I would expect the netting to be there then too.

A long time ago, you said something along the lines about the floor plates looking really small cause the cores were so big and you got a response about how you should go and view the project in person. I'm betting if you went down there and saw the ducts with your own eyes, you would retract this statement.

Now I'm not a ninja like some of you guys to get into restricted areas... but I did a simple walk around of the construction site and got plenty of good ground level footage. I threw in some good shots of First National, Chase, Colcord and others. This is shot with my new HD video camera I got Wednesday. The raw footage is 1080p 60 frames and looks incredible. Still holds up alright on Vimeo.

On the way home from downtown I was passed by a tractor trailer at Reno and Hudson carrying two tower crane segments. Should be soon then that at least one will climb.

Thanks for the monthly time-lapses MadMonk...they are great--particularly with some night shots thrown in as well. This forum IS the best one I know of--on any subject. Everyone on it seems to have a great interest in the subject and it runs from young to old...with minimal screeds--which can easily be found on other threads--where they belong. I suppose it is like being a kid again and having a great skyscraper go up right out your apartment window...and being able to just sit and watch anytime you want. Now THAT is something. Add to that...the ancillary additions of time-lapses and video and candid shots...once Big Gene is able to throw in a few aerial shots...well...that will be damn near perfection. Thanks to all.

UnFrSaKn, fantastic video! I can't wait til the tower is so high that you'll have to lay on the ground to get a skyward shot walking around the block, lol. I think (just incase you uploaded this or future videos to websites like skyscraperpage) that you should also film The Underground so outsiders will see where all the people are at...

MadMonk, thanks for the timelapse. I watched the tower and then I watched it again, to watch the podium going up! I also enjoyed the 'musical cars' in their assigned parking spots. Whoever drives that red car is a loyal employee!

Here is another one that I downsized the devon tower from 925ft to 850ft without changing the height of the other buildings.

Also the height of the Bok tower(current tallest building in Oklahoma), is marked at 667ft and the chase building height is marked at 500ft. The chase building looks shorter than the 500ft in this rendering because it is set back further. The current height of the construction is also marked with red.

I wish OKC had the BOK, nice tower......

I think the new SkyDance Bridge over the new I-40 will be a start...I agree with you that a nice iconic tower would be distinctive...some sort of stylized oil-derrick-like tower would be a nice and appropriate idea...and not horribly expensive to do, comparatively speaking...every city needs something that you don't see anywhere else.
