Saw the LED testing on the south side, which was more extensive, but this is the first time I've noticed LED testing on the north side, that I could see from my place, though not nearly as extensive as what's happening on the south. Very faint green lines, lower-ish right side of the tower in the below pic.

I'm confused. I'm looking at this on my phone. Are those blue leds on the tower? If so, I had no idea the leds would wrap around the building.

No, the blue lights are the roof of St Anthony's

Maybe this zoom-in will help in seeing the green LEDs?

From that angle you can see the circular reflecting pool starting to take shape at the very base of the tower:

Has there been any detailed information posted on this forum about how exactly the cranes disassemble themselves? I'm sure there's been something posted about this, but I can't seem to find it.

Good day for a first post. Boomer, the mechanism used is a "top-climber" which is positioned under the jib arm and separates it from the mast. At that point, the mast segments are removed a section at a time and lowered until the crane reaches a point that it can be disassembled from the ground. YouTube "Tower Crane Assembly" and you can sift through a few vids. It's a sloooow process but cool to watch. I've witnessed a few over the years and it is fascinating.

who does the aerial shots for FSNOK & ESPN for Thunder games?....some of the shots seemed to have too much red in it IMO. The aerial shots took during last years playoffs turned out pretty good, but some of this seasons shots had too much reddish tint. If aerial shots looked similar to the pictures Cooper posted above that would be awesome!

They use stock footage. Has anyone noticed they haven't updated the aerial footage of the crosstown? LOL They still broadcast the old crosstown with eastbound traffic. That is over 6 weeks old at this point!

After the Thunder game tonight, they had all 3 indentions lit up in dark green at least half way up the tower. If looking straight on, they were very faint, but when looked on at an angle, it is brilliant.

Noticed they had LEDs on so I stopped by this evening to get some pics and video on my phone. I ran into William, he was getting some shots as well. His will be much more impressive as I was only using my phone. I am going to combine the videos into one, upload and then I will post. One section was phasing through all the primary colors then switched to red and green moving like an equalizer. Stay tuned!

So I saw the post about the building being all lit up and I thought what the heck I'll go take my 7D on the maiden voyage. Wasn't planning on being that long. Ended up around three hours of walking all over downtown. The night was perfect. Light rain but no wind at all. I already was working on Thursday's footage. Well you won't be disappointed. I did video and photos. This camera does amazing low-light stuff. I got a ton of stuff to do for one of the largest concerts of the year on Saturday. So just like that, I'm up to my eyeballs in footage to edit.

Decided to take a final trip west on the Crosstown. I noticed when looking straight at the indentions they are not as bright but the reflections from the sides are bright - I noticed it from close up too. When look straight towards the lighted fins then do not project light but if you move to the side the light is projected from the glass. There was one strip on a panel in the NW facing indention and it looked like it was being lit at full power, if this is what all of them will look like we are in for a show - what I have one film is about 35-45% of what the other one was.

I'm up to my eyeballs in footage that I need to edit. Got a lot of footage Thursday night (that's going to be old by the time it's finished), spent three hours down there Friday night using my camera for the first time, WinterJam at the arena Saturday night, a lot of stuff this morning, and I went down there again a while ago. I got some video of them lowering a piece of the crane down to Sheridan. Took a lot of photos... I need a week off to work on this that I don't get. RetroMetro meeting tomorrow evening... no end. I'm going to start putting new stuff on my Flickr page. I haven't used it in almost a year.

I can see the tower from my front porch on a clear night and out of curiousity I pulled out my high powered binoculars to see if I could see the LED's. I can and I think I see them with the naked eye also. I live on Indian Meridian in Choctaw. Wish I could hook up my camera to my spotting scope!

I can see it clearly near my house, about 2 miles East of HWY 102 on County Line rd (Would be Reno if it went all the way through)

I used the measuring tool on Google Earth and it's exactly 25.5 miles from the Tower to the top of the hill on County Line Road where I can see it.

It didn't fall into the building. The boom was blown against the building breaking some glass. Bad luck that the winds picked up when the boom couldn't move with the wind because its the process of being taken down.

Edit: More like grazed the building, only breaking one pane.

At the end of the game, the Thunder put out an alert by email that said Robinson was closed due to debris and glass......I figured the crane blew into the tower..
