Why is it PHAT?

Because, it's Pretty, it's Highly divine, and someone gonna be ATtempting to jump off it again, or climb up it for the first time, lol.

Talked to a gentleman last night that is pretty high up in the Dolese ranks. He said the tower is almost done as far as concrete goes. The last two floor (mechanical) will be steel fabrication like the rotunda. I'm sure it had been discussed but he mentioned over 260,000 (cubic?) yards of concrete have been used for the tower and surrounding property. When Devon Energy is done using Dolese, he said they're gonna feel it big time.

I would imagine that they will experience a drop in revenue, but surely they saw this coming. It isn't like there are a ton of buildings like Devon waiting to be built.

Shot this this evening while I was at an event at the Devon Boathouse. It had a green glow that was breathtaking. Also stopped by the rooftop at OKCMOA and the view was absolutely amazing. People commented on it the whole time and all you could do was try not to stare.

It might be past your bedtime before it's done. I don't want to say it's rushed, but it took a while to find good music and then fit it in. Time consuming. It's rendering now. Uploading takes the longest time. Probably past 10pm at the soonest.

I watched the whole completed video last night and I couldn't be happier how it turned out.

William,

Very cool! All angles at all times of the day. Nice coverage of glazing installation, etc. I have a new appreciation for the athletic abilities of the rowing athletes after watching them streak down the river.
Again, thanks for the great video and your effort and time.

Was practically in tears a couple of times. Not just because of your beautiful photography and choice of music, and not just because of the new tower. Moreso, because you are helping to give the city a sense of pride and place that has not been present since the bombing and, before that.... well, I don't even know when!

Thank you.

Yeah, I liked how the bicyclist from the first video stood still so I thought I would add that element myself. Thanks for the kind words. There is a point in the video where it's pretty powerful. I'm just trying to change the image of our city, or create an image that might not exist in people's minds. Unless people see it, they will just believe what other people tell them.

I'm not sure I would want to do this as a "job". I like doing what I want, when I want, and how I want. I don't want deadlines, or someone telling me what they expect me to do. I'm pretty sure I know what works.

William, if that is your name, nice videos. I'd suggest both Vimeo and YouTube. Post them on here with Vimeo, but also make it more available..more accessible..more hits when its on YouTube. :-) Love the videos. Really wish I'd told you many months ago...but I think all your videos must have watermark on there. We don't want Devon or someone else to use your videos, that way you can make money when they decide to use your content (such as news media...they be stupid not to use your videos).

Just to make sure that you get the credit and praise. <3

I would only be concerned when someone wants the high resolution originals. The stuff that's on the internet isn't high enough quality, even though I encoded at the highest possible settings. The time lapse footage isn't even 1080p. The YouTube clip with the workers is closer to what the originals look like.

There is a code... Hold on, I am getting it...

Tag: yt:stretch=16:9

Put that in the Tags first, then space, then tag words.

This made the YouTube video player widescreen instead of the normal standard screen. It should update on here, if not, then it will show it widescreen on the video page. :-)

Late to the bandwagon, but amazing video Will. I know you're pretty good about posting on SSC, and SSP, but you should post the video on those sites as well if you haven't already.

I've always wanted to learn videography. Good with a DSLR, and I have some basic video editing skills from college too. But I know it takes much more than that. May I ask if your HD video camera was terribly expensive?

Oh and I think I saw you. The shot from the Stage Center looking northeast towards the Devon construction site. Are you leaning on the light pole?

UnFrSaKn

No, you could probably pick up cheaper somewhere since there's been a new model out. $1000 range can get you something plenty good enough.

Will, didnt you make the OKCTalk banner?I was wondering if you or whoever made the banner could make a OKC skyline banner for SSC,since they have over 500k users from around the World and The banner is the first thing you see on the website!

All images have an extension such as .jpg etc.
Right click this image and do View Image. That address is what is supposed to be between the code. When you upload a photo, it goes on some Flickr server like the same way it's on your hard drive.

Devon Energy adds $1B to capital budget (http://newsok.com/devon-energy-adds-1b-to-capital-budget/article/3581312)

The Oklahoma City-based oil and natural gas company has plenty of money to spend, after earning more than $10 billion from the recent sale of its international and Gulf of Mexico holdings.
