Sweetness!!! I want a copy when it is released. Do you use Adobe InDesign to put your book together, or do you submit the text and photos and have a third party put it all together?

Our publisher has a designer, Carl Brune, who is extremely talented and does all the design work.

I'm glad that pic finally started showing up. I was beginning to agree you were being a tease.

I am so excited about the new book, I can't wait. Oh but wait is that a ghost in the 4th floor window?

Kevin, sorry, I didn't realize it wasn't showing up for some folks.

Steve... will the back cover be the other half of the Skirvin?

That's what I was wondering, how come the whole Skirvin isn't on the front cover. Nonetheless, I am excited about this book and will definitely be picking up my copy when it comes out.

Metro, Platemaker, the entire hotel appears back and front cover. Want me to post that as well? I don't mind doing it, though the flaps aren't quite finished.

No worries Steve. it comes and goes, possibly something to do with me using Opera as a browser, or perhaps plain ol' operator error on my part. It's been known to happen.

OT - I caught some of your video interviews over on newsok this morning re Plaza and Paseo district. Nicely done.

Looking forward to the new book Steve. I gave your last one as a gift to several people.

I can't wait to get a copy, also. It will be a terrific addition to Oklahoma City history, and of that I'm absolutely certain.

Y'all selling it at the bookstore at 50 Penn like the last one?

(bought it, loved it)

Is this the same publisher as the last book, A Second Time Around? I own a copy of that book.

I am doing all of my own design work.

Midtowner and OKCpulse: Yes and yes. It's the same team that brought you OKC Second Time Around. It's the same narative voice, even better characters (you can't beat W.B. Skirvin and there's a murder mystery to boot!), same designer, same publisher. This book is beautiful to look at - and a lot of images and photos not seen in decades, if ever.
(OK, yeah, I'm sounding like Billy Mays - Wait - there's more!)

But do I get some Mighty Mend It if I purchase the new book?

Um, no, but maybe there will be a drawing for Oxy Clean.

Are they open to communicating with me? These other publishers aren't doing me any justice. One wants me to charge $81 for my book because of the color print.

Sometimes I feel like giving up. But I love Oklahoma City, so I will not quit.

OKC Pulse, let's talk later this week. I'm not sure if Full Circle would do your book, but there may be another outfit that would.
