Is there any more news on this? Will they get the land NE of Remington into trust? Will there be a hotel/resort/casino?

Local officials opposed it... I think the BIA shot it down.

If the tribe buys Remington Park wouldn't it be a great idea to build a real casino/hotel complex right next to it? I am all for it and I do not see anything wrong with doing it. It would def. bring in more money/jobs to that area and give tourists a place to go/stay and spend thy money.

maybe get rid of the horses and add a theme park in all that open land , casino hotel theme park right by all the other okc attractions (zoo, museums)

A nice hotel/casino in that area would probably work well.

There are plenty of places for kids to go and have fun around the city. The adults need more options in the city and a hotel/casino is a good option for many. If you live in the city you have to drive 25-30 miles to go to a casino live Riverwind,Firelake so one in the middle of the city makes sense. I would even be for a nice new hotel/casino downtown on the riverfront somewhere close to BT.

Being in the entertainment district is a great place. Family vacation to OKC - grandma and grandpa take the kiddies to the zoo and Omniplex while mom and dad booze it up at the casino. Then plenty of evening activities for all of them to take part in--if they were to build this thing the way it was intended!

I still want to see it go up and I am in agreement that it will bring tons of jobs and more tax revenue to Oklahoma City. Also, as stated above, a lot of Northsiders would actually have to drive 35-50 miles to see that kinda action. South OKC'ites are going to go to those casinos anyway. There's so much more intake that's coming from North OKC. Once again, not to mention, it's right there at the I-44, I-35 junction & just a short drive from I-40.
