Nick Collison is the last of any resemblence of what was once the Seattle Supersonics. Can't blame him for loving Seattle, it is a great city with many assets much like Dallas, Atlanta, Denver and San Diego.

Kevin Durant still feels his love for the University of Texas Longhorns, so I understand why Nick feels an allegiance to Seattle. It may take some time for him to bond to Oklahoma City, it doesn't mean that he has to completely abandon Seattle.

Kevin, on the otherhand, we may need to drain some of that Texas steer blood from him with a little love and support. He will coming around the hills... Sooner I expect.

I thought this was a nice article by Jenni Carlson despite what one host of the Sports Animal thinks.

"If you work for a man."

If you work for a man, then by all means, work for him. If he pays you wages which supply your bread and butter, speak well of him; stand by him and the institution he represents. If put to a pinch, an ounce of loyalty is worth a pound of cleverness.

If you must vilify, condemn and eternally disparage – resign your position, and when you are outside, damn to your hearts content.

But as long as you are part of the institution, do not condemn it. IF you do that , you are loosening the tendrils that are holding you to the institution, and by the first high wind that comes along, you will be uprooted and blown away, and probably will never know why.
