I don't have a brand-new camera, but this little digital got some pretty good shots out my front door.

Here's the link - it's Facebook, but a public link:

Speaking of Christmas spirit (from another thread), it looks like your neighbor across the street has a Christmas wreath on the front of their house.

Those pictures sure capture the essence of what was happening. Especially the torrential rainfall and the ground covering hail.

What surprises me is that cameras manage to "see through" the opaque horizontal rain that we had. At my house, it blocked the view of the houses across the street.

Coming home from dinner this evening, I saw considerable limb damage, including an approximately 8" diameter tree broken off at the trunk a couple of feet above the ground in the mile bounded by SE 15th St., Air Depot Blvd., Reno Ave., and Sooner Rd.

I have never taken mine down. It hangs around the porch light.

They change it to a "spring" wreath, then "summer", etc - all season dressing!

We have other neighbors who leave Christmas lights up all year - welcome to the OSM!

Hm, I wonder if they have a summer tree up in their living room now?

Last night my TV kept dropping out, displaying the "unable to tune channel" banner. I looked up at my antenna this morning and it looked like it was pointing 180 degrees away from where it was supposed to be. I looked at some pictures that I took as the storm was moving in and sure enough the UHF Yagi part of the antenna was pointed toward the north antenna farm before the storm moved in and it was pointing toward Tinker afterward.

When I went up on the roof to turn it back around while ago, it took quite a bit of force to move it. Those were without a doubt the strongest winds that I have ever encountered.

The insurance company totaled my car from the hail damage and hauled it away so I'm somewhat patiently waiting for the 2010s to hit the lots.

I'm ready for a more tranquil period of weather if everybody doesn't mind.
