I saw this on the AP wires this morning. There was a report released by the Brookings Institution that lists Oklahoma City as the second strongest performing metro area in the country, just behind San Antonio. Tulsa is also on the list at ninth.

I thought with the interest last year in the Forbes listing of Oklahoma City as the most recession proof, you might be interested in this one as well.


Detroit ranked last. The list was of 100 cities, and it was based on unemployment, wages, gross metropolitan product, housing prices and
foreclosure rates through 2009's first quarter.
