I noticed a going out of business sign the other day at the Sportsman's Warehouse up there by Quail Springs Mall. Any ideas on what happened? Could they just not compete with Bass Pro?

That's a good question! I think maybe it's a national chain, and it's corpororate office went belly up? I dunno.

Seems sportsman supplies, guns and ammo are in huge demand right now.

They were bought by a Canadian company, who then decided to close several of the stores. OKC was one of them.

I really hate to see them go. I have shopped in there several times. They had one of the best reloading and ammo selections in the city.

Is it still open? I heard they were closing a month ago....

Looks like they filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. It looks to me they are shutting 23 stores including the one in OKC.

The Round Rock store here is up by Ikea and hasn't been open much longer than a year.

I was in there monday, and there is nothing left inside except a bunch of hats, table of shoes, and maybe 8 racks of clothes that nobody wants.

The sign on the doors said "final 3 days", and that was monday.

Very sad, I really liked that store.
