OKC Area Rotts-N-Notts Rottweiler Rescue is an independent, private Rottweiler rescue organization located in Oklahoma City, Okla. We are hosting an adoption and public education event called A Black Fur Affair in conjunction with other area rescue groups and shelters to be held on April 25 at Stars & Stripes Park on Lake Hefner. The event is open to the public from 11:00am-3:00pm. Our focus will be to show the community that black and mostly black dogs (statistically the dogs least likely to be adopted) are friendly, approachable, come in all shapes and sizes, and make wonderful family pets. We also plan to make the event a fun and entertaining family outing, including many demonstrations, and face painting for the kids. Our veterinary staff will be offering low cost ($25) microchipping to the public.
