MIDWEST CITY, Okla. -- Police said about a dozen people were injured when a car plowed into a Midwest City dance studio on Wednesday evening.
Investigators said the car crashed through the glass front window at Karen's Kids School of Dance after a father of one of the girls was trying to straighten his car and hit the gas instead of the brake.
Witnesses said the impact sent some of the people inside the studio flying.
Three teenage girls were taken to hospitals in ambulances. Witnesses said that three others may have gone in private cars.
Police said an 80-year-old woman was the oldest victim.
The dancers were supposed to attend a competition this weekend but have said that they won't go.
