When the winds start a'changin' and the redbuds are in bloom, we know that means only one thing here in O-K City - MARCH MADNESS.
And no, I'm not talking about the basketball madness taking place across the country. I'm talking about something that carries much, much more import to us OKCTalkers here locally:
LOST OGLE MADNESS II
Yes, folks, LOST OGLE MADNESS is indeed here. And for those who have been following (or perhaps NOT following) the oh-so exciting online tourney, voting is currently underway in the WEST REGION, UPPER BRACKET
In said bracket are the scintillating talents of the 4th-seeded Lauren Richardson and 13th-seeded STEVE LACKMEYER (among other insignificant peons).
Hot news chicks aside, I think we, as a collective OKCTalk community, owe it to our own "go-to" news guy Steve Lackmeyer to get out and VOTE in this most important of elections.
Afterall, where else would we get the latest insight and scoops both here - and in the paper - about those things most dear and near to our heart (and no, I'm not talking pink bikinis): downtown OKC and development projects.
Currently, Mr. Lackmeyer is losing. But, with new energy coming off the bench, I'm sure we can bolster his spirit and get the score to turn in his favor.
Wouldn't it be a trump if he came out at the end as the Tourney MVP and give him his own "One Shining Moment?"
