Nice Camaro! I have an old HS friend that has restored a '69 RS. He's done a great job with it, but now he's thinking about selling it. If I could only afford what he's asking for it. He had a '68 RS (had a high-revving 327 w/Powerglide trans) in HS and he ended up selling it for a "party van". I could not believe he did that, and I know he's kicking himself for it nowadays.

Here is my barn find... anyone know what it is? 80,000 original miles

I've just started looking at these posts. It looks like a 1968 Ford Galaxy, that
could very well be an unmarked Cobra.

Rusty Staub had one in 1968. He was the only General I knew with a
legitimate job. I think he made assistant manager at a Humpty Dumpty -
which means he held a job for over 6 months.

Rusty had an incredible Galaxy 500 fastback. Dark Green. I'll swear it had a
428 Cleveland, but I don't know. Rusty was very humble, so he probably
kicked Ferguson's butt in a race.

My very first new car, a 1966 Chevelle SS/396, 375 H.P. - 410 rear end with
a M21 Muncie close ration 4 speed. Knee knocker tach, radio and heater, that
be it...

I'll bet that weenie car could do 0-60 in half an hour. LOL!

Well it is actually a 66 galaxy 500 7-litre 428 with all the badging of 7-litre, bucket seats console, 93/8 rear end, c6 tranny, a pretty bullet proof setup it has, and this one is green.

My parents had a 66 LTD with a 390 in it when I was little, bought used in 1968 at Dub Richardson Ford. I vaguely remember the night that they bought it at the used lot where Wendy's is now. Scott Chevrolet was still across the street where Carpet World used to be.

One thing I remember about that LTD, the A/C worked so well that you could get frost on the registers on the dash.

It was the same burgundy color as the one on this brochure.

I made the Turner Turnpike in 55 minutes in a 68 LTD.

I'll never forget getting smoked by a '74 Kawasaki Mach 3 at the Stroud
on ramp. I don't know how fast I was going because the speedometer was
bouncing between 100 and 120. The Mach 3 made me look like I was parked.

Those old Kawasaki triples (http://www.motorcyclemuseum.org/exhibits/superbikes/Mach.asp) were mean for a 500cc 2-stroke triple, it didn't have a throttle, it was an on/off switch.

No kidding! They were either full bore or stopped. There was nothing
like'em. The original 'crotch rocket'.

500cc was considered a big bike back then.

I have a '31 Model A Ford Business Coupe. That means there are more of
them than '67 Mustangs! LOL.

At any rate, Prunette and I, Pruner, honestly and truly want to paint the '31

Please help us find someone who can help us get the car painted. We don't
expect to win any competition, whatsoever. We just want to paint it black.

But, Hey I'm game if you are....do we have to sand it? do we have to prime it?.....I know the Mexican Market can get it done if he likes street Grafitti...I'll discuss this Saturday....(if Prunepicker shows).

Yo' Idiot! The guy who rebuilt this car, from the ground up in 1966, had it
professionally undercoated. One day he went on a weekend trip. His wife
decided to do him a big favor. She went to TG&Y and bought several cans
of spray paint. She did a two-tone in an afternoon! There's still paint on
the windows LOL!

Really! It's starting to show, though. A little fading here and there...

Chevrolet used wood in their cars during the 20's and early 30's. That's why
you don't see many of them. The wood rotted out.

The neighbors dad, who lived across the street from us in another world, had
a '65 GTO (Gran Turismo Omologato) with only 35,000 miles in 1999.
