Okay, get ready for some remarkable TV Trivia.

Put your thinking caps on.

What was that show that had the girl who looked like somebody in another
show that only lasted a couple of weeks before they were interrupted by
a better show that stunk to the skies.

One of the cast members was a friend of a postman in Kelso, ND. He had
this lady on his route, that was between Kelso and Grandin, who would
bake him cookies. She had a sister, uglier than anyone who's ever shown
up at one of our south side meetings, that could bake cookies like nobody's
business. Well, as fate would have it, she baked a batch and forgot to put
in the flour. It was a mess. Her brother, who happend to call by long
distance every other year, told her that a neighbor had bursitis in her hip.
She knew all the remedies for bursitis, because her mom had passed them
down. She had learned them from a clerk who was a bookkeepper at a Ben
Franklin in Dubuque. Her brother in law drove a milk truck. Sometimes the
dairy would have specials, like yogurt or cheese and sometimes, college
cheese. Not that crap you get now but really good cultured college cheese.
I was told that it came from a Dutch family that move to New Hampshire
after the turn of the century. Not the 2001 century but the 1900 century.
Goodness, that's over 100 years ago.

Whoa, the phone is ringing, I'll get back to the question later.

F Troop

Truth or Consequences
The Fifth Dimension (Chanel 9 Saturday Nights)

I am going to add one that were movie shorts before my time but their films were on t.v. as a Saturday and Sunday program. Laurel and Hardy!! Those guys still bring tears to my eyes. I hated the Three Stooges. No comparison to Laurel and Hardy.

I agree about the Marx Brothers. During the '70's there were a few movie theaters in town who on Friday and Saturday nights would show serials, "Flash Gordon...................followed by a '30's comedy: Marx Brothers, W.C. Fields.....................what a great time.
The reason I mention Laural and Hardy is because t.v. introduced many of us to their films. I just did not think the Stooges were funny.

Man, I loved the Stooges! The Marx Brothers were zany! There's a short
they're in that is complete pandemonium. It starts with one guy at a desk
and someone comes in and it gets crazy, then another and another. It's gets
so far out of control and there must be a dozen people doing comedy routines
at the same time. Does anyone know what it was called? I don't.

I can watch Laurel and Hardy even if their overdubbed in Bulgarian. They
still make me laugh. I watched them do their own lines in Spanish and
didn't realize it until about 1/2 way through the movie.

I remember a Marx Brothers film that had a scene like that. Only it was a room on a steam ship. Finally got so crowded when the door was opened people poured into the hall.

I once read about Laural and Hardy doing their film work. They would do 2 or 3 in English and then film again in Spanish.

Your the city boy from Cali, she moves to the farm in Okie.
The lead singer of the California raisins (prunette) marries the back guy with the sax, (prune) and they retire on the farm where Prune hates weeds, Back in Cali we had a gardener to do that.

Not really on topic here but with its views and interest this thread seemed like a good place to ask this. I'm trying to find several good "mystery" or "murder mystery" movies with a comedy twist. Something along the lines of Deathtrap or Clue, slueth (the original) or the Pink Panther series. I Love the Agatha Christie series too and you cant beat Helen Hayes either.
