Does anyone know where OKC ranks nationally for housing markets? It seems like construction and sales are at or near record levels.

It would seem. I think Forbes has Fort Smith Ark-Okla as being the nation's cheapest though. I'm sure twenty million other guys have us as the nation's cheapest, I'm beginning to not like Forbes so much these day anyway.

Based on the data that I've seen over the past 25 years, 1984 had the most housing starts in the OKC metro at 8500 single family homes constructed. I believe this past year may be close to equalling that figure. I am curious to know how OKC compares to other MAJOR metros in terms of how robust things are right now. I wouldn't be surprised if we top 10,000 by the end of this year since the economy is getting stronger.
