Interesting. I didn't realize the former North Fork space was still owned by Deep Fork Group.

Good. Edmond needs a couple more places to have beers.

Also interesting that they are expanding to Tulsa at 18th & Boston.

So this means that the location in bricktown is shutting down and moving to edmond?

B/c I had thought they were building a new location on the north side somewhere, did they and are they just moving that one farther north?

From what I understand the one on Memorial will close and a new one built in Edmond. The original Bricktown location will stay open, and they will also open a Tulsa location in SoBo.

This is what I have been wondering. I always asked myself why Joel wanted to put that location there. But he's the man with the money. Does he have a silent partner or just him on his own? I honestly thought it was going to be really hard to compete with Baker Street & Tao Bistro. Plus, that location was way too small. They said it was bigger than the Bricktown location but I just never saw it.

The Edmond location needs to be modeled after the one on Memorial and they need to make sure they're going to transfer those two quotes. Those are two of the greatest movie quotes of all time!!

Don't get a chance to make it up that way too often, can someone explain this?

That poster made it sound like Deep Fork Group still owned the building and had a franchise agreement of some sort.

The memorial Rok Bar location is going to relocate to Edmond. Rumor has it that it will be the old Danny Bob's location on 15th between Broadway and Boulevard. This location has been many things over the years including several different bars.

The memorial location will continue to operate as a bar yet to be named.

Tonight the banner read "bar open."

a few months ago, I saw a similar type of flyer on Rok Bar's website. a Rok Bar was supposed to open in downtown Shawnee, but this (http://www.news-star.com/archive/x1346879132/Residents-speak-against-downtown-Shawnee-bar-owner-withdraws-plan) happened. Makes me wonder if Rok Bar is really going to Edmond

I got a buddy that bartends at Baker Street and he told me that's what it had over the Rok Bar sign. He said it was pretty laughable.

If the rumor is true about it going into where Lumpy's used to be, then once again, I think that place is way too small (yes, I know it was expanded to the North) for what he's looking for. Oh well, I won't be going. Memorial was far enough north. I will not be traveling to Edmond for my Roking experience!

Odd that he planned to open in Shawnee. Sure, you've got OBU and St. Gregs, but that amounts to maybe 3,000 students--half of which probably don't drink.

But you also have a decent enough population size within 30 miles who don't want to drink in dives or in casino's. Not my type of place, but I think it could have worked in Shawnee

Good point. Shawnee only has one bar that is at all classy. A pub downtown that's actually pretty cool.

Anyone heard anymore about RokBar coming to Edmond? Just curious...wondering if they are going to be in the old Lumpy's building off of Blvd. & 15th.
