HSR is never going to happen. Rail is old technology and technology goes forward not backward. Hyper-loop is the future. HSR will never happen.

Well, HSR certainly won't come from WATCO's commitment to providing passenger service between here and Tulsa. Assuming the service does ever get off the ground, it's just going to be standard passenger rail. But I do not agree with the idea that HSR would never happen here just because rail-based transportation is "old technology". Bleeding edge tech isn't always the best path forward. Both standard passenger rail and HSR are mature technologies with proven safety records. I think the demand for the service is there, just not everyone realizes it yet. It'll start making a LOT more sense to people here once the Streetcar and commuter rail lines are up and running, honestly.

It already costs eight dollars in tolls to go to Tulsa and back anyway. I would rather take a train than drive to Tulsa, even if it did take a little longer.
