Mustang Brewing this morning announced the location for its new metro-area brewery. The brewery will be on Will Rogers Parkway near Interstate 40 and Meridian. You can read all about it in the company’s latest newsletter.

Some interesting points from the newsletter:

-Starting March 1, Mustang will begin purchasing equipment, filing for permits, and building out space at the warehouse.

-The location was chosen because it is close to Mustang, provides easy access to I-40 and I-44, and has all the space and wiring needed to get brewing quickly.

-In April, Mustang will announce a new beer scheduled to be launched in May.

Congrats to Mustang; as far as The Thirsty Beagle is concerned, the more breweries in the area, the better!

I-40 and Meridian? Hell the new BJ's going in at the outlet mall will be just as close. I'll stick with Jojo's...

Indeed it should be. I'm anxious to see how much 'expansion' (from any of the breweries involved) to start happening..

Look again, that's old news brother. Their current offices (where a small brewing facilty was being setup) is at I-40 and Meridian but with the recent purchase of OKCbrewing that's a moot point as anything they would have been doing there will now be done at OKCbrewing. Same could probably be said for all/most of the projects they are partner brewing down at Choc Brewing in Krebs. Lastly, it's a brewing company, not a bar like JoJo's.
