i am trying to think of fun things to do with the family when the weather becomes a little warmer outside, I think it would be fun to havea crawfish boil, does anybody know where i can get some live crawfish? any stores sell them by the pound?

Yeah, that's what I was gonna say.

It's at 25th (or so) and N. Western.

Right off Military Ave. I believe. You can't miss it, it's the heart of the Asian District. Well worth your drive from Moore.

I'll second that. I take friends from out of town there just because it's so interesting. If you've never been, it's definitely worth seeing.

89th & western had them last year. Also had live blue crabs.
Walmart on 19th has the boiled frozen onrs. They pale to the
ones fresh out of the pot.

I know Albertsons used to carry them at their 'nicer' stores when they were in season (and around Mardi Gras). Not sure if the Homelands which took over will still carry them. Also worth a call to Avalon Seafood on N. May. Gulfport, too.

I've ordered from Louisiana Crawfish Co. in the past (with good results), if that's a route you'd want to go. Home Page (http://www.lacrawfish.com)
