Anyone have any idea what this is? Just a commercial? Its in the short section of Harvey that is south of Park between the Library and the Oklahoma Tower (the section that is about to be shut down). There are several police cars blocking it off, film crews setting up, and a van for some stunt driving company.

At this point we are wondering if it is for filming of Amazing Grace?

Is there a big production truck in the area? They had a section of Robinson closed down a few months back, but it was just one guy with a camera doing a time-lapse shot of the Skirvin for Ackerman-McQueen.

They had some old beater with a camera mounted on the front of it.

No idea though.

Seems to be something big - lots of police cars and looks like park may be closed from Harvey to Robinson as well.

A buddy of mine is an independent film maker and he shot his first feature in OKC a couple of years ago. I know he is shooting another right now but I'm not sure if this is his or not.

Because he's in production he's impossible to get ahold of, but I'm trying to find out. I'm not sure he's got the pull or the funds to secure a whole fleet of cops like the ones I saw this morning, but I don't know how all that works. I will post something if I hear from him.

According to the library folk (the shoot is right outside cafe), it's a commercial shoot for Riverwind Casino.

I don't know which library folk you talked to cause I work there and no one I talk to has any clue.

I spoke to the security guard who was standing outside of the library, and then when I ate lunch in the library cafe, I heard the staff tell the other cafe-goers it was a shoot for Riverwind.

I heard at work it had something to do with Kevin Costner.

Costner was playing last night at Wormy Dog with his band, don't think he's in film mode in his career right now.

Try calling the Oklahoma Film Commision.

It's Costner. Waterworld II is what I'm hearing.

Yeah, I'm aware of that metro. Heard it was a documentary of the band.

Turns out my source made a mistake. It's actually Field of Dreams II: The Dustbowl Years.
